The Gateway Excursion Workshop

 
Take a journey into expanded states of consciousness with this powerful introduction to world renowned, sound-based Hemi-Sync ®  technology.    Through this official program of The Monroe Institute (TMI),  you will discover a variety of mental tools and processes designed to help you achieve profound states of awareness (Focus 10 and Focus 12).  

Guided by Michael A. Velasquez, Outreach Facilitator for The Monroe Institute, you will achieve a greater knowing of your Total Self.   The results of these exercises are highly personal and varied.   Typically, you can expect to achieve a better understanding of your own energy, and gain insights regarding issues and questions in your life through improved access to inner guidance.  Enjoy improved brain hemisphere synchronization while experiencing a tranquil state of deep relaxation.   Reap the benefits of group discussion with ample opportunity to share your experiences with others.

A workbook will be provided, but you may want to bring a notebook or journal to record your experiences, a bandana or eye shades to cover your eyes during the exercises and wear comfortable clothing.    Please also bring blankets and pillows, enough to be comfortable on the floor.   Body temperature may shift during the exercises.   Bring preferred beverage and a sack lunch.  Tea and snacks are provided.

The Monroe Institute (TMI) offers a wide variety of both residential and community outreach programs. Residential programs are offered at TMI’s Virginia based campus and range from three day weekend workshops, to six-day programs. Programs are not predicated on any particular belief system or doctrine. The only philosophical point you are asked to consider as a serious possibility is that you are more than your physical body. Many who attend programs develop a different overview, a changed perspective from which life's experiences seem to take on a new significance. Our programs consist of a carefully sequenced series of learning exercises designed to provide positive experiences. Step-by-step, the participant learns methods to move comfortably along a continuum of consciousness, shifting between one phase (or focus of consciousness) and another. Experiencing these phase-shifts to visit and integrate non-physical energy systems is a key element in all the programs.
